Dear Mrs.Brooks
I saw the story about the fliying squrl. I have exspearensed animals in my house too. There were two mice,a bird, and a chipmunk. My dad was going crazy with a broom when we were trying to get the bird out. My cat got the two mice. And we all worked together to get the chipmunk out.
love,
Eloise
Oh, Eloise, i can just picture the craziness that must have been – but what a great memory for your family! I’m so glad you found that story and took the time to read it – it was a fun night here, and I still giggle when I think about how angry Mr. Brooks was when I kept trying to take pictures instead of helping him to get rid of the squirrel. Hee!!!!
Love,
Mrs. Brooks
Dear Mrs.Brooks
I saw you dancing in the flashmob. The girl who was next to you was one of the girls I know from my dance school. Her name is Mattie. She is one of the best dancers in my dance school. You looked really good too!:)
Love Eloise
How cool is that, Eloise! We started off learning the dance online, and then went to the studio where we ran through it a bunch more times. My sister is also next to me dancing – she has been dancing since she was 4 and is now a ballet teacher. I never really took dance, but still LOVE to do it! See you tomorrow!

Hi Alden,
We’ve had a great year so far, and we have watched some math Schoolhouse Rock! videos. I am hoping they help with multiplication. The eagles should be laying their eggs sometime in the New Year, so we have some time before I show it – but I haven’t looked for a lonnnnnggggg time. Have you?

Hi Alden,
Thanks for checking – I heard there was a bear cam somewhere out there on the Web – so I’m hoping to find that this year – it’d be neat to watch that, as well. We could have a virtual zoo in the classroom, ha ha! I will say hello to Kyle (I have two this year!) and you have a super day, my friend!!

Dear Mrs. Brooks,
My Thanksgiving was great. My aunt, uncle, cousin, grammy, grampy and papa came over for dinner. My mom made pumpkin cheesecake and my aunt made apple pie MMMmmm!! And my mom, dad, and I helped make the turkey. How was your Thanksgiving?
Hi Eloise! Pumpkin cheesecake sounds delicious!! I had pumpkin pie – but cheesecake is one of my favorites, too. Our Thanksgiving was very quiet – we stayed home and there were only six of us. But it was a very nice day and everything was yummy.
See you tomorrow!!
Love, Mrs. Brooks

Dear Mrs. Brooks
I was looking through your pictures and I saw the picture of the Born bridge. It made think of the time I went on a boat ride under it. My mom and dad konw the people how own the boat so sometimes we go on a boat ride with them. Have you ever been on a boat ride?
Hi Eloise – I have been on lots of boat rides – and you mentioning going in the canal on a boat made me wonder if the ride was bumpy? My best friend moved to Florida with her family last Christmas. They had a beautiful boat and we used to go out on it with them all the time. My favorite rides were through the canal because the waves can be so big and it made it so fun. Plus, I love the view of the bridges from inside the canal. Too bad it was too bumpy to take nice pictures, though!
I love the Cape Cod canal, which is why I take so many pictures there – I bike there and walk there and boat there and picnic there and and and…. I hope winter passes quickly so it is warm there again!!
See you in the Hall, and thanks for your post!
Love,
Mrs. Brooks
